Project Overview

This Westbrook waterfront property's deck was the homeowner's favorite spot for morning coffee and evening gatherings, but years of salt air, freeze-thaw cycles, and UV exposure had taken a serious toll. Several boards were splintered, the railing wobbled, and the original stain had worn away entirely.

Our team started with a full structural inspection, replacing six deteriorated joists and 40 percent of the decking boards with premium cedar. We power-washed the remaining surfaces, sanded everything to a consistent profile, and applied a three-coat marine-grade stain and sealer system designed for coastal environments.

The homeowner now has a deck that looks brand new and is built to withstand the Connecticut shoreline for years to come. We also set them up with an annual maintenance plan to keep it protected season after season.
